School and Professional Background

I am a native of Seattle and enjoy working with the variety of people that Seattle attracts. I received my Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Washington and then went on to receive my Masters of Science in physical therapy from Boston University Sargent College. During the time I was in Boston I also gained my certification in Athletic Training (ATC).

I returned to Seattle in December 1995, and began my career in physical therapy in February 1996. I initially worked at larger outpatient clinics and gained experience in orthopedic manual therapy, athletic training, and cancer/lymphedema rehabilitation.

Teaching

Along with my clinical practice I taught as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Puget Sound Physical Therapy department from September 1998 to May 2002. I taught a clinical laboratory for oncology to allow the students to gain the knowledge to treat people who were undergoing treatment for cancer and/or who were living with lymphedema as a result of their cancer. I also taught in the community about lymphedema at Cancer Lifeline. Currently I teach health and wellness workshops periodically in the community.
